Its true!
Because only a cool mom would go out and catch a monster mantis and bring it in for the kids to look at.
Okay truthfully, it was pretty nasty. Even gross. But hey, the kids thought it was pretty cool.
Savannah was a little unsure at first...
But in the end, since I wouldn't let them take the lid off they eventually got bored and we let it go.
But only a cool mom would give the kids Pop Rocks and tell them it was just like eating bugs.
Oh ya, I'm definitely a cool mom.
So if you think that just maybe you might be lacking in "coolness" with your kids, just go find them a big bug.
Trust me, it works.
7 super cool people speak:
Not only are you cool, but you're brave too! Much braver than me when it comes to bugs. :)
I hope they don't go out and try to eat bugs thinking they'll taste like Pop Rocks. :-)
Did you seriously go out and hunt for a large bug? Or did you happen to see it? And, yeah, you are amazingly cool.
Takes me back to my days as a bug catcher. If you want to keep the bugs a little longer, take a hammer and nail and punch a few holes in the top so they can breathe.
Heidi: LOL! I sure hope they don't go out and try eating bugs either! Ewww!
I was out watering the garden and there he was, big, nasty, and green! I just couldn't resist.
Darryl: Hey there friend! I'll remember to do that next time I go bug hunting. But since Savannah felt sorry for it, I don't know that she would have wanted to keep it.
I use to catch giant flies for her. She always kept them until they... well, died. =)
What a catch! I remember my mom picking up beetles and being totally disgusted because I thought they were COCKROACHES!!! Ewww!!! Since my mom is the coolest mom and picked up bugs, you must be on your way since you pick them up too. :)
OH...I hope you placed him back in the GARDEN...They are the BEST PROTECTORS of GARDENS...They eat NASTY BUGS....He is DEFINITELY A FRIEND....(smile)Cool catch...Hope I have some in my FUTURE GARDEN!!!
Wow. You do rock. I miss you and your real-ness :) I love how you say things like they are, and I'll never forget you.
