Overheard in Primary
I was recently moved from working with the youth in our ward (church congregation) back into the primary. (primary is for children ages 3 - 11)
This last Sunday was my first week in there.
During the opening portion of primary, they called up everyone who was having a birthday so we could sing "Happy Birthday" to them, and one lady who was called up was a fellow teacher.
Off to my right, I overheard the following in a very exaggerated tone.
"Well my mom did NOT look like that when she was 35. I would know. I was there."
I did my best not to bust out laughing, but later I was relating this to my friend Jennifer who also teaches in Primary.
She then told me that when a bunch of the kids where holding hands so they could touch from wall to wall during an activity, two older boys were holding hands when one said, 'Well... this is awkward.'"
We both burst out laughing.
I have a feeling I'm going to be thoroughly entertained in the coming weeks.

;)
We have been in the primary for the last two months. Best calling ever!
I loved working in Primary - it's so true, there's never a dull moment! I actually was just released and I'm not sure what I'll do having to be a grown-up again!
Primary is THE BEST entertainment. Hearing family gossip from the kids is always good.
