We are off to the adventurous land of Utah, to the frightening realm of Salt Lake for Alayna's 6 month post surgery check-up. After that, we venture forth to penetrate Utah's most prized bubble, Provo. Luke gets to talk engineering (zzzzzzzzzz.... snort, huh?) while I romp around BYU campus and try to scare some freshman. And maybe meet up with some old buddies too.
In the meantime, I have a VERY important question for you. Or two.
Do you like black olives?
If so, how do you like to eat them?
I like them on my pinky finger, unless etiquette dictates otherwise.
Jacob, he likes them off Alayna's finger.
Gross.
6 super cool people speak:
Personally....I like them by the handful....(black ones...ONLY)
I love black olives. Always have. And I do enjoy from my pinky finger. Once upon a time I would put the on every finger, but I am too big for that now. Not too old or mature, just have fingers that are too big.
Good luck with the post-op! I'm almost considering arranging a McDonald's playdate......
I love this!! Growing up in my house, you absolutely were not allowed to eat olives unless they were stuck on your finger first.
I was so excited when my son was old enough to do that and now he knows there is no other way.
My husbands family, although, thought it was hilarious that a kid would do that because they had never seen olives eaten that way. Crazy! They also don't put 2 cups of gravy on their potatoes, but you learn to forgive them of such shortcomings.
Good luck at your appointment, my dear. Hope all is well. Just thinking about that hospital gives me and Max anxiety.
And as for olives? Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. Don't eat them. I eat most things, but not olives. Ever. EW!
I love olives! They're right up they're with cheese. Black ones, yeah, I like them off the end of fingers. And green ones--we always played "No you see it" with the pimentos. I could eat them any way. But my parents would tell you that first I have to dump them all over the floor. Then I'll eat them.
You've gotta put one on every finger, model them like you just got fake nails put on, and then you can start to eat them. :)
I still haven't developed a taste for the olives that are all gourmet -- just the black ones out of the can, thank-you-very-much.
Good luck with the post op! We moved from CA to PA when Jared was 2 months post op, so we went in early. The doctor said there was no need for any further treatment, so we haven't seen a specialist since then -- 10 1/2 years ago. :)
