When people find out you were homeschooled,it's as if they start to "dumb stuff down" I don't get it. It's like when people find out I went to a private school, much less that it was a Christian Private school - they get this attitude like I'm stuck up. I went on scholarship! geez. :) Anyway, all that to say that your post made me laugh. Love it.Karahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07033700248013462631noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3411626042871756090.post-41505387724751462011-03-24T18:30:17.720-07:002011-03-24T18:30:17.720-07:00Hahaha!!!! My super-gorgeous-beauty-queen sister decided she had enough of high school politics and wanted OUT, from church we knew some homeschool kids who are awesomely normal, so she saved over the summer and decided to do high school through correspondance. She was teased till she graduate a year early...then she was uber cool. <br />As for me I wanted to homeschool Peter (who is now 6) but he was sooo difficult and I felt lost and my gut told me it would not work...few months later after starting kindergarten we realized that we WERE in over our heads and could not homeschool Peter...as he was diagnosed as autistic. In school he is regualr class for 15 minutes and then the rest of the day is spent in different therapy programs with specialists to help with his delays. I would LOVE to have him home and learn our values BUT I know he needs more help then I can provide. Therefore we try very hard to stress our home values, when he is at home. The Bagley Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11081822537097734200noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3411626042871756090.post-12935548427061746832011-03-12T13:16:50.214-08:002011-03-12T13:16:50.214-08:00awesome! And I can tell you, having had three homeschooled kids in my class my first year teaching at a new public school...of the three, the two with normal/cool/with-it parents had such kids. Weirdo mom had an "interesting" and "kinda strange" child. Apples don't fall too far from trees, in my opinion. Hats off to your mom.
