Weekend What-Naughts

What happens when over half of your older siblings are girls?

Well, you may end up wearing a pink "Lil' Flirt" bib every once in a while.

He doesn't seem to mind too much.

Oh goodness, I can't tell you how much I just love and adore this little guy.

Only two more months in the helmet. I can't wait!

So, here are just some weekend what-naughts.

Saturday morning I made a super special effort to go above and beyond the call of duty, to make exquisite and decedent blueberry and almond poppy seed muffins for breakfast!*cough -from a box- cough*

Sometimes my awesome baking skills astound even me. (baking from a box mix totally counts as having mad skills)

Since I never think to make muffins, it was indeed a special event around here. (even if they did come from a box)

Savannah mentioned one day how much she loved poppy seed muffins and asked if we could make some.

Who am I to refuse such a request? (thank goodness for box mixes, eh hem...)

After the kids did some cleaning, some fighting, and some apologizing, we took them out to see "The Lego Movie".

Which may have had something to do with this Sunday afternoon activity.

But the rest of Saturday, Hubby and I worked on painting the basement.

We are soooooooo close to being done with the blasted painting portion!

Ceilings and trim are done!

Savannah's room is done! (Hubby doesn't like the color)

We have two short hallways, the bathroom...

and the boys room left.

Then carpet! YAY!

This is one super excited gal!

And despite the fact that I was PROMISED a finished basement before Jackson was born, I'm not giving Hubby a hard time for STILL not having it done.

Well, not too much anyway.

Maybe a tease here and there.

After all, Jackson is 5 1/2 months old now.

So a little teasing is allowed now and then. I'm pretty sure it says so in the couple's manual some where.

Wait... there's a manual?

But Hubby has done a fabulous job nonetheless.

Over all, not a bad weekend.

The basement is looking really good! Is that tile the finished flooring? Except for the carpet, of course. Because I REALLY like it! I still can't believe Jackson is almost 6 months old. He's so big but it seems like it was just yesterday that he was born.

Oh, and who cares that the bib is pink? He's still a major flirt!

Thanks!
And yes, it is the finished tile! We found it in the clearance section and just LOVED it!
I know! Time sure does fly as you get older. :)

LOL! He can't help his ultra-cuteness.

As far as the color in Savannah's room....just tell Luke...that when you sell your home in the future, some little girl is going to go through the house with her parents...and will get so EXCITED over HER NEW ROOM...because she LOVES those COLORS! And those pictures of JACKSON...are so PRECIOUS! I just LOVE this little man!!!!
