Update on Jackson

Well, I've put off getting this post finished for so long it's almost time for another check-up!

Ah well, better late then never.

Unless it's a traffic ticket... of course.

Do you know I've never been pulled over before?

Don't hate.

But I digress.

Almost three weeks ago we drove the 3+ hours to Jackson's helmet check-up appointment.

Into the little scanner he went, and here are his before and after shots.

The red line is his before shape, the blue is the after.

 Pretty incredible right?

He really is doing remarkably well, and I feel such deep gratitude to my Heavenly Father for blessing us so much.

We were told that for only a month in the helmet, you really couldn't as for a better result.

After a 45 minute visit, we loaded back up into the car and drove straight back home.

And next week, we get to do it all over again.

It's funny to me how many people assume the helmet is for a flat spot. The comments about it have never really come off as judgmental, just purely based on assumption.

Which is fine. I mean, I had never heard of crainiosynostosis either before Alayna.

On a different note, the other day Hubby was holding Jackson while he was on helmet break and they looked so similar I just had to snap a photo!

But as soon as I busted out the camera, all the other kids wanted to get in the picture too.

Silly kiddos. Love them.

I posted this picture on my facebook page saying, "This little guy holds my heart in the palm of his adorably chubby little hand."

My dad then wrote back, "He may have your heart in his hands, but what does he have in his cheeks? Chocolate?"

LOL! Maybe so.

There is still plenty of time for issues to develop and problems to arise, but for now, he is a rock star.

"We were told that for only a month in the helmet, you really couldn't ask for a better result.". Thanks be to God!! ;-D
You need a t-shirt that says this. "1 in 2,000 babies are born with crainiosynostosis. Have you heard of it? Ask me." {Yes, there really is a shirt that says that!! Look it up!!} ;)
"He may have your heart in his hands, but what does he have in his cheeks? Chocolate?". Crack. Me. Up!! ;-D
Jackson is such a little chucky monkey!! {And I mean that in a good way!!} I was a "Cranio" Kid. However. Having also been born with congenital diaphragmatic hernia, I was one skinny infant, as is "normal" for CDH babies!! By the way? Heedless of Mom's loving opinion, I was never as adorable as Jackson!! ;)
Keep us posted on Jackson's next appointment results, please!! ;-D
