Overheard in Primary

I was standing in the halls of the church building, surrounded by my primary class of 10-year olds.

The girls were ooohh-ing and aaahh-ing over my belly, rubbing it while asking how much longer I had to go, and were all around excited that I will be having the baby soon.

As we proceeded into the primary room, I was walking by one of the boys in my class, whom I just love and adore, when he paused and turned to me.

After glancing at me uncertainly, he finally said in a very sincere and gentleman like way, "I don't mean to be offensive...," he paused for a brief moment to eye my protruding stomach, "but it kind of makes you look fat."

It's a good thing we were still in the hall because I burst out laughing. Hard.

I love that kid.

Children...are so...HONEST in their opinions...usually not meaning offense...simply just how they perceive things...smile (PERSONALLY, I think you look positively...incredible...!)

I loved being pregnant, since it was the only time I could justify looking the way I looked most of the time anyway. LIFE made me look fat!

I love your "overheard in primary" stories!! ;)
This reminds me of a time back in August, when I told my sister-in-law {Clearly during moment when I lacked impulse control!!} that I would do the dishes. But not to treat her like she is --hugely pregnant--. Whoops. I later apologized, which she accepted, saying that she is hugely pregnant. Then, I said this. "Only because you're carrying my niece, who I can't wait to meet!!". Good comeback? Yeah, I am an expert at those!! ;-D
