"Romantic" is Objective

Princes and Princesses.
Knights and Princesses.
Kings and Princesses.

These are probably the most played "imagination" games by my children of all time. They play them so often that most of the time I don't pay much attention to their dialogue.

This however, caught my attention yesterday.

Savannah: "Ya, and then you saw me laying there asleep, and you thought I was so beautiful that you wanted to kiss me."

Joseph: "Ya, and when you woke up and saw me I had blood dripping from my body..."

So if you think your man isn't very romantic, just try to remember that he's wired differently than you.

Very, very different.

It's the whole, "Mars and Venus" thing I think.

Yep. And, may I gently point out that, objectively speaking, being oriented towards all the romance isn't necessarily the universal, optimal, "right" setting. It's just a preference. A powerful one, to be sure, but not "the right and only way." One could make the case that both the prince and princess have some potentially silly preferences here. Okay, off my soapbox now.
