Would you?

I grew up just twenty minutes from downtown Orlando, but I think I was only ever actually IN Orlando a few times. So while I'm not a country bumpkin, I'm no big city girl either.

So here I sit in a hotel room in downtown Baltimore, too nervous to venture out all by myself while Hubby is at his work conference.

Does that make me a wimp?

Would YOU venture out into the bustling streets of downtown Baltimore to explore? When police sirens blare outside your window every fifteen minutes? All by yourself? Having never been there before with no clue of what to do or where to go?

Oh, something else you should know.

I stink at directions.

I always get lost.

Always.

I'm with you, I'd be too chicken...unless there were stores of any sort nearby

you should go visit the aquarium...it's amazing. Or take the metro (I promise it's not scary at all) and travel down to DC and do some sight seeing.

We're actually thinking of hitting the aquarium later today. Good to know it would be worth it!

And I've done the metro thing in Paris, France but that was 12 years ago! I'm a little out of practice. :D

I am horrible at directions too. That is why I HATE corn mazes. I am lost all the time on my own, I am not about to put myself in that situation on purpose.

I used to live in Baltimore, and the downtown area is awesome.

The aquarium is cool, but super expensive. I personally don't think it's worth the money, but it's up to you. But the area the aquarium is in (the Inner Harbor) is the coolest place. There are tons of restaurants and shopping, cool old ships you can tour and the harbor with all the water. So if nothing else, at least go walk around the Inner Harbor, you won't regret it.

Have fun!!

I'm terrible at directions, but I'd have to get out and explore anyway. It's a beautiful city! And if you get lost, just catch a cab and tell him which hotel you're staying at!

YES! Go for it! Make a plan first though of where you will be and text hubby and let him know.
I am a girl who loves to walk cities and I have traveled with my husband and I just make a list of the things I want to see or do and I go. It can be so fun!!!

I'm working on a story that takes place just outside Baltimore. Maybe you could scout a few locations for me to see if they're really how I picture them. Or at least, how google earth pictures them.

I'm not a city girl either. There are parts of SLC I can't handle! I don't blame you with Baltimore--it's scary!

I have an iphone, so that helps a little. But I am not sure. I would probably just nap all day and then take a long bath. Sleep some more and then..read?
