So, I need to know...

Is it a bad sign when, after the person on the other end of the phone conversation asks you how you're doing, that you can somewhat nonchalantly, yet honestly answer," Oh... I'm sure everything will be fine, just as soon as I can figure out how to clean up the maple syrup Alayna poured all over these library books."

Just wondering.

Guess she just wanted to feast upon the written word, eh?

I think it's good that you can remain calm and have a sense of humor. Some things just aren't worth the stress. And even the things that ARE worth the stress will just give you ulcers.

I personally have decided that we won't be getting library books for a while. Now that the kids are in school I don't feel the need for new literature as urgently as I did before. Also, I can't afford to give the library 10 bucks every time I go there.

I know I'm a HORRIBLE commenter, but I'm reading all you post. LOVED you MMB post today. It is NOBODY'S business. Period.

That Alayna is too sweet faced to have done something like that!

I have to tell you that I love that your children are as inventive as mine and that I'm not the only Mom that has to deal with these things on a daily basis:)

Between your post and Sue's comment, I had a shake my head chuckle:)

I think a cute little face like that can get away with just about anything.

Next post.....How to get maple syrup off of library books? LOL

We had a glob of syrup in our carpet for 15 years. There was NO getting it out.

I found you on MMB and I want to say thank you for putting into words what I often felt as a young mother! Looks like you have an adorable family! Thanks for sharing.

I wanted to leave this message on MMB, but couldn't, so you're getting it here. :) Thanks for sticking up for those of us who can't have kids either. Just as it's not anyone's business how many kids you have and when, it's also not anyone's business what I have done about having kids. I get asked the most ridiculously personal questions by people who are practically strangers up to people who know me well. I get judged for what we have or have not done about having children. It's nobody's business. You're wonderful to remember us, too! Interesting that we can both be picked on for the two opposite matters. :)

I just noticed that you inserted Claira's picture with the family picture! Now...it is complete...

To look at Alayna's picture...you would think...this child never could do wrong...just like her mother...(smile)
