To Build a Fort

What would you do over spring break if the weather was lousy and cold, and your hubby was gone for work?

Why, what any loving, kind, caring, sweet, thoughtful, considerate parent, who only ever thought unselfishly of their kids, would do of course.

Build them a great, big fort...

...and tell them that they aren't allowed to leave the fort under any circumstances or the evil child-eating goblins would get them!

Then go take a nap.

Of course, if that turns out as unsuccessful for you as it did for me, you could always try Plan B.

Tell them they're in jail and won't be able to escape until mommy can find the lost magic keys and eventually set them free.

Then go grab some chocolate and chick flick.

Then again, if that turns out as unsuccessful for you as it did for me, you can always try Plan C.

Hey, I never said I was perfect!

Or perhaps a combination of A, B, and C.
Love it.
I miss the fort building days. We made some pretty stinkin cool ones in my friend's backyard behind the grapefruit trees. One even had a floor and a roof and we didn't use a single nail.

Watching their little DVD player and I notice a thermometer. Hopefully everyone is well at present.
Sorry the hubs is gone, I think you can probably "hold down the fort" though. HAHAHAHA

Looks like they were having fun!

Really, could you be any funnier? I love the fort building..although for some reason in my life these days the concept of sheets all over the place (aka mess) stresses me out. ha!

My kids have always loved making forts. They are so much fun. The pictures are great, and it looks like maybe, you got your nap after all. Good job mom!!

Oh, I remember making forts with my younger brothers and sisters when I was young.

Are girls asleep? I can't quite tell. If so, WOW!

I love your fort. Can my kids join yours in jail? They deserve it... I swear.

LOVE THE JAIL! Did any of them get a "GET OUT OF JAIL FREE" card?" No? I thought so...(smile)
