That's just the kind of mom I am

Just as I was pulling into the parking lot of a store that was across town, I heard the warning signs.

Alayna starts gagging a little, than crying. Man oh man, Not here. not now!

I rolled down the window to give her some fresh air, but I was too late.

Her breakfast came up and out, all over her and her car seat.

I parked and looked back at the damage.

Eh, not as bad as I thought.

So I took off her jacket, which received most of the damage, wiped down her shirt, jeans, and car seat as best I could. Used up only a quarter package of wipes, a sure sign the damage was minimal, then proceeded to take all the kids in the store.

'Cause I really didn't want to drive all the way home and back again.

I just tried not to walk too close to other people.

no nonsense. i love it.
back when i was a kid, we would all have just stayed in the car. i guess the world is a more dangerous place . . .

We just spent all weekend cooped up because Abbie wouldn't stop puking. One time on me (and my mouth) another on the floor, and the one in the car was all over her special blanket. The clean up was easy there, but explaining to a sick two year old why she can't sleep with her disgusting blanket was none to pleasant:)

I hope she feels better soon and that nobody else gets sick.

I've been known to rationalize that it was more an "accidental gag" throw-up than a "stomach bug" throw-up so I can still get done what I needed to. You can tell by how they barf. My husband, the doctor, for some reason thinks I'm crazy...

Funny! I think you do what you have to do sometimes and that's the way it is.

Chloee has worn her church shoes to school the past two days. Drives me crazy - but hey, she's gotta do what she's gotta do

Oh sweetie! Well, to make you feel better, today I took three out of the four kids to Chick-fil-a while Abby was at her violin lesson, and I was about to order when Ashlynn came running up to me to announce that Max had just thrown up. I thought she was exaggerating until I saw Max, standing in the middle of vomit sprayed in at least a five foot radius. And many, many families looking a little green.

I felt like yelling at all of them as I hauled my puke-covered kid out: "I didn't know he was sick!"

Honestly, I probably would have done the same thing.

I am realizing that I was very lucky in having kids who did not get carsick!

At least if she pukes in the store, you don't have to be the one that cleans if up.
