32 weeks and yes, I'm totally counting.

I had my 32 week check-up yesterday!

Ya, that's me... the one there.

No no... not that one, the one on the left.

Don't feel bad, I too was momentarily confused as to which one was me. Then I remembered that I hadn't been swimming recently. Good thing too or I may have never figured it out!

I even took all the kids with me to the doctor appointment.

When I walked in to the office, I was greeted by name. Surprised, I jokingly inquired if I was just next on the list or if I just had a very recognizable face.

The receptionist gave me a big smile and said, "Oh... you just have a very recognizable face."

Then I remembered I had been in several times during my facial Quasimodo transformation.

I don't think I'd be able to forget something like that either.

Anyway, only one person, the nurse checking my blood pressure and jotting down how many tons I weigh now, asked if all the kids were mine.

Another nurse commented on how very well behaved they were.

I glanced behind me to see who she was talking too.

Oh... who my kids? Gosh, thanks!

*Hmmm, note to self, NEVER tell the nurse that your kids kept playing with the nasty used "medical instruments only" container, and that all the pretzel crumbs under the chair are from them.*

But I did something this time around that I NEVER do. Like... ever.

I did NOT watch the numbers on the scale to see how much I weigh. 'Cause, believe it or not, I like to know.

This time, I just stared lovingly down at my awesome rockstar toes.

They make me happy. The scale does not.

And no cracks about my long toes allowed.

So special thanks to my awesome friend Gina and all her hobbies for deciding to learn how to do rockstar glitter toes at home.

Because they saved me in a moment of crisis. And that's what friends are for.

So if you're feeling down, you should have her glitter your toes too. It will make you happy.

I'm thinkin' I'll need her to do them again right before I deliver.  'Cause goodness knows the last thing the poor doctor needs to be dealing with come delivery are ugly toenails.

He has far worse things to worry about.

I just know he'll appreciate my thoughtfulness on his behalf.

I think I will definitely need some of those glitter tones to distract my attention from the scale, too. Do you think it might distract my doctor's attention as well??

;)

Don't feel too bad! The nurses at the hospital recognized me when I went in to have Audriana 18 months after Peyton was born because I was in there soooo much with him. Wish I was exaggerating! When Phil told them Peyton's story they said oh yeah that was you I remember, I even had one nurse tell me I was talked about a lot and she knew everything and she was never one of my nurses. Gee thanks!!

The scale is your friend! Every time it goes up it tells you that baby is growing - or at least that is what I told myself at the end of pregnancy...LOL! You look great, enjoy every minute of it. Once they're out the crying begins - yours and theirs!

I don't know what to say now that you've forbidden long toe jokes... I HAD other things to say - but... well, as a mother you KNOW that forbidding something means that's all we little immature types want to do :)

So you are officially my claim to fame. One of my friends found out that I actually knew you and she was like, "What! She is like famous!"

So there you have it! Fame, Family and Beauty :)

Love the glitter toes... And you look GREAT!. I hate the scale too. Especially after I found out that if you start out heavy you don't gain as much. Next time I am getting fat before I get pregnant. Cause the 20 plus some pounds I gained make me soooo sad.

I agree with Carrie.
You look fantastic.
And you make me laugh. Love you!!!

I'm going to pop on over to Gina's site and check out the glitter toes. I need to repaint my own toes. I'm thinking apple green with silvery glitter on top like yours. Very cute.
