Savannah's Letter and 16 weeks

Dear Santa, I have
I have been kind of good
i want a hart wond
and a clokc toy
and a glowing toy
and a toy roodoof the red rose randeer
and a princess doll
and a book
and a unbrelu
and a yoyo
how is it going
how is miss claus
how are you
Love Savannah

At least she managed to remember to inquire after how Santa was doing. I must be doing something right.

~~~~~~~~~
I squirmed and crammed myself into a old "skinny" shirt just so I could show you my 16 week belly.
Sure the shirt constricts my breathing capabilities, but I sacrificed.
Taking these pictures are always so awkward. It always leads to some strange inner dialogue.
Should I look at the camera? Do these pants make me look fat? Maybe I should just look straight ahead? Nope, that looks dumb. Do you think anyone will notice I didn't shave? Hmmm, look up or down? Down I guess. Should I smile? Eh... I'm not wearing any make-up, better not. Should I cut my head out of the picture? Should I suck in? Is there any chocolate left in the house? Huh, looks like there's a diaper under the couch.
So you see, taking one of these pictures is very complicated.
Well, anyway, I'm still sick everyday all day but it's not nearly so overwhelming. It's the worst first thing in the morning and after I eat dinner at night. Still getting daily headaches but not quite so bad. Still craving a trip to Olive Garden, but haven't been able to convince my husband to pull our life savings so we can afford to go.
So, other than having no desire to do anything productive whatsoever, things are going fine!
Umm.... is it May yet?
Glad you are feeling somewhat better.
Great month to have a baby, by the way. I was born on the 31st of it...
=)
I was about to write how that is such an awkward photo and that you should take it down and then I reached back to when I was pregnant and remembered that sarcasm is NOT cool at 16 weeks.
So, You are a hottie tamale.
Is that better?
You are so hilarious. Is hilarity considered a gift of the Spirit? Can we pray for it to be given to us?
Love the diaper under the couch comment. Just FYI, I thank you for being willing to go through all of...THIS...to have a babe for me to hold during church. Even though I'm not in your ward, I TOTALLY would hold your newborn while you wrestled the rest. You're a good woman to sacrifice and I'm glad there are still women willing to do it. :) NOW GO GET SOME OLIVE GARDEN! You soooo deserve it.
if you lived closer I'd spring for an Olive Garden lunch... because right now I'm regretting that I turned down that second stuffed mushroom at the wedding last weekend - I want MORE!
of course, if you could just pop over for lunch I don't think the "$ for Olive Garden" would be such an issue...
I'm so glad you're starting to feel better. I think it took me until about 18 weeks to start feeling better, then 33 weeks to be able to eat a chicken sandwich again.
For a while, I didn't even want chocolate. How devastating is that??
Ugh, now I'm 34 weeks and with a huge amount of amniotic fluid, I look like I'm ready to pop with twins.
Hope you feel all the way better soon!
And your picture is cute! I decided to cut my head off in mine.
So glad you're feeling better! Hang in there, Serene! I'll keep you in my prayers. Your 16 week belly is so cute, if I may say that. And you definitely have that "Expecting Mommy" glow. :)
Lovely note, by the way. Your little girl is a doll! :)
So glad you are feeling somewhat better! I have never in my entire life (probably not even when I was born) been as skinny as you. I must have a 24 week belly on a daily and yearly basis. Oh well. Maybe when I am sixty or seventy it will all go away. Love the letter. Tell hubby he needs to work an extra job so that you can go to olive garden!!! (just kidding). I think there are recipes online for olive garden fake food. Maybe you could look it up and have an olive garden dinner at home!
Every year I get 24 or so of these letters from my first graders I have to decipher. This year, one of them wrote, "sum stuf to clene mi glasss". Some stuff to clean his glasses was his number one want. I hope Santa pulls through for him.
That's quite a list she's got there though.
Is that letter not the most precious thing ever?
Okay...so is this pregnancy number 5? I haven't been stalking you very long but you look super cute for 16 weeks!
Hope the sickies go away soon!
I need to get my letter of 'I wants' to Santa, too…
Thanks for the subtle reminder.
