It's not a baby! It's a...

Gummy bear!

Okay, see? No more twin jokes allowed. There is just one solitary, single little gummy bear inside the oven. Although, hubby was kind of disappointed. He wanted twins.

Yesterday, I was declared exactly nine weeks along with my due date being May 31, 2011.

And Brenick, I promise I was not ignoring your question from last week. My track record for weight gain with my pregnancies so far has been between 25 and 37 pounds.

And here is a belly picture, just for you.

Although, that little pointy pooch you're seeing is just my belly flub sticking up over my maternity jeans.

Because let's face it, maternity pants are just more comfortable right now.

~~~
Okay now, funniest story ever.
Last night was mutual. (a mid-week activity for the youth of our church, and I am a leader in Young Women's, specifically over the 12-13 year old girls)
We were decorating pumpkins with these girls. While they were doing that, I was telling the other two leaders present about my doctor's appointment and how when I stepped on the scale to be weighed, I jokingly asked the nurse if she would take a pound off since I was still wearing my boots. (it's negative cold below freezing right now)
Upon hearing my story, a super cute little 13 year old pipes up and says, "My mom always says that you should only be worried about what you look like on the inside, I mean that you should only care about being pretty on the inside, no matter how ugly you are on the outside."
*crickets chirping... silence... eruption in laughter*
We knew exactly what she meant, but it was the way it came out that was so hilarious.
Although admittedly, I don't think I'll be adding that as a motto to my bathroom mirror anytime soon.
Teenys, tinsy Serene, thou art beautiful 9 weeks or 9 months (just guessing there, since I haven't witnessed that one) and if I could only have one wish, it would be to look as fit and gorgeous as you do with a gummy bear in the oven. The end.
haha, funny!! Your only showing because you didn't have any weight on to begin with!
And that is why being a YW Counselor assigned to the Beehives is still one of the most favorite callings I've ever had.
P.S. Not kidding: my word verification is "belly!"
Maternity pants are more comfortable even now... and my baby is 6.
(okay, so in all honesty, I burned my last pair 6 years ago... but they SOUND more comfortable!)
LOL on the gummy bear :)
I tried that same thing too when I was pregnant. Both my kids were winter babies so I always wore boots. Nope, the nurse did not subtract pounds
Cute gummy bear. I want a picture where he/she looks like a gummy bear. Mine looks like a bubble. I was 8 weeks when we did an ultrasound, amazing what 1 week can do. Congrats again.
hahaha, too funny : )
I wonder how many times I said things like that when I was younger. Sometimes there is no filter there.
I bet that mother loved to have herself quoted so accurately. ; )
Your gummy bear is darling. Cute enough to eat (which, seriously, now I'm craving gummy bears, thanks a lot).
My little grandbaby is a "gummy bear"? Hmmm....must be a boy, then...If it were to be a girl...she would have been referred to as a "Hershey kiss"...pure chocolate! (smile)
MISS working with the YOUTH!
I have found May 31st to be a most wonderful birthday! Usually it falls in well with end of school parties :)
Ahh...Beehives! Tell her that moms only tell that to girls who are less that cute on the outside :P
awww... i think your belly is very cute! thanks for answering my question. i could only wish that with my next i gain only 25, that would be awesome!! so, who is the rude child that made you gain 37 ?? (because we both know that YOUR eating habits have nothing to do it. chocolate calories dont count! ;)
