The Birthday Trial... Continued

If you have no idea what the heck this post is about, be sure to read the previous post.

Forgive the delay in posting. You know how it is with kids and all, so many unexpected things come up.

I use that excuse when we run out of clean dishes too.

And clean underwear.

Then I wrote this whole post with pictures from my 14 and 15 year old self before realizing I had already done age 14.

I almost posted it anyway because I ate half a bar of chocolate while I wrote it. And I did not want those calories to be in vain!

But I finally decided to save you from being subjected to viewing me in a zebra striped hat and a cameo jacket. Nor did I want to make any of you jealous that my 16-year old brother, my 15-year old sister, and my 14-year old self went on a two week road trip, by ourselves, up the whole east coast.

I bet you suddenly wish you were homeschooled through your teenage years too.

Oh well, guess we better just jump on in and view the following evidence.

Exhibit 15A. My and my buddy Dave at E.F.Y. (Especially for Youth).

Overalls were cool back then.

So was getting your picture taken while your eyes were closed.

Just sayin'.

And for exhibit 15B, we have me and my friend Dana at Halloween. No really, it was for Halloween. This was NOT the reason my siblings and I were being homeschooled, okay?

We were glitter bugs, in case you can't tell that we coated ourselves in spray glitter. Although I have a sneaky suspicion she wanted to be a genie that year.

I hope she still likes me after posting this picture.

So Dana, were we trying to stand all sexy with our leg bent forward? Because if we were, it wasn't working for us.

Exhibit 16A may just be the most embarrassing picture yet. If only because I was 16 and should have known better.

But I did it anyway, all for the sake of not upsetting the cool, older girls.

So I sang, "Deck the Stalls" at a ward talent show.

And someday, I'll burn this picture.

And last, exhibit 16B is my second art show that was held at the community college where I was attending school. It was here that I won my very first art award.

*sniff* I was so happy.

In case you couldn't tell.

And so, my understanding and forgiving ladies and gentlemen of the jury, do you think I still look 15 or 16 years old?

Be true. Be honest.

No... no...

Be kind, and lie.

Tomorrow, we will have the final pieces of evidence brought forth to determine if my now 27 year old self looks anything like my 17 or 18 year old self.

I think you look younger now than you did in a lot of those pictures! But no, you don't look 15 or 16... maybe you could pass for a freshman in college though.

what? nobody told you that you had a piece of cowprint TP hanging out the back of your jeans... I can see how that could be embarrassing :)

Yes, you do! Perhaps even 12.

I don't think you look like a teen, you like a fully mature, beautiful, 27-year old.

: )

You actually do seem to have gotten younger as you've gotten older. Which is a nice trick. You're also very secure. No way I would post pictures of me from high school. NO. WAY.

honestly, i think you look older in your younger pics and younger in your older pics. wierd huh? i think it is because you wear cuter clothes that look more teenager-ish, and when you were a teenager, your clothes look more like mom jeans. know what im saying? lol.

also, it looks like weigh less now too. which is insane, since you've had 4 kids and live off chocolate. im jealous!

Oh, I love looking at old pictures! (And one year for Halloween, I wore a long black dress, coated myself in spray-on glitter and said I was the Solar System. Because I am a nerd.)
AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY (week)!
