Serene's Ever Coveted Ice Cream Cake Extraordinaire

Before we get to drooling, I feel duty bound to say this up front.

This blog is not responsible or liable for any clothes that suddenly don't fit, any new sweet tooth addictions that develop, or any feelings of embarrassment when you're caught licking the computer screen.

WARNING: The average reader will gain approximately 4.2 pounds by the end of this post.

Now, just so you know how much I REALLY like you guys, I want you to know I don't think I've ever actually given this recipe to anyone before.

Ch'ya, it's been top secret until now.

You'll be getting my bill in the mail.

And tell your hips you're welcome.

The great thing about this recipe is you can change any of the ingredients to suit your taste bud's succulent desires.

I'll go ahead and post my favorite concoction, then we can talk changing up the ingredients.

INGREDIENTS:

1 (11oz) box Plain No-Bake Cheesecake
1 (16oz)jar Hot Fudge
1 Half Gallon Box Cookies and Cream Ice Cream
4 Butterfinger Candy Bars

DIRECTIONS:

Set the Ice Cream aside to soften.

Make up the the cheesecake in a 9x13 casserole dish buy following the directions on the box.

Next, warm up the hot fudge for about 30 seconds or so. Just enough so it's easily spread.

Crush two of the butterfingers. Sample the biggest chunks.

Eat a couple spoonfuls of the hot fudge, then pour the remaining contents of the jar over the cheesecake and spread evenly. Lick the spatula.

Sprinkle the two crushed Butterfinger bars on top of the hot fudge.

Break open the ice cream box and cut into four parts.

Lay them on top of the candy bars and fudge, then smooth until the ice cream is evenly covering the cake.

Lick melted ice cream from box. Waste not.

Crush remaining two butterfingers and sprinkle on top!

Cover and freeze overnight or all day.

Then enjoy thoroughly!

Every last drop.

Now you can start thinking about what you might want to change.

For example, if you don't like cheesecake, you can try a graham cracker crust and a pudding.

Or if you don't like chocolate (which means there is something seriously wrong with you and you should go see the doctor ASAP!) instead of hot fudge you can use strawberry or cherry pie filling.

And you can obviously choose ANY kind of ice cream you like and the same goes for the candy bars.

So pick up your favorites and have a go at it!

But when you do, you'll have to come back here and tell me what concoction you came up with. I'd love to try it out!

Maybe. Unless is involves weird ingredients. Like bananas. Yuck!

Mmmm! No anti-chocolate thoughts here. In fact, I think I would use chocolate instant cheesecake mix instead, and maybe some chocolate sprinkles, and chocolate syrup (oooh, and served with a few scoops of chocolate ice cream! And topped with some chocolate covered cherries and chocolate covered nuts!)
Yes, you really don't have to worry about me not liking chocolate ;)

I am so afraid.....my pants don't need to fit more snuggy. Oh, well, that's why they invented sweats isn't it?

Oh yum! Can I just lick the monitor? I'm trying so hard to limit the sugar intake right now. Just cuz I'm in my 3rd trimester now and that seems to be when I pack on the pounds. Might have to take this to a party I have this weekend. mmmmm

I don't know if I could stop at sampling the candy bars. This recipe sounds a wee bit dangerous.

I know, I know... but maybe I'll make it WITH the chocolate and then I won't be tempted??? I'm sure ManOfTheHouse will enjoy it TONS!

I am one that is not a fan of chocolate but using carmel instead would be divine! Maybe a snickers for the candy bar....that is right up my ally. Definately a recipe worth keeping. My husband would like the chocolate thing though.

I'd hafta substitute the butterfinger. I'm allergic to peanut butter. Yes! Pity me! The poor, poor peanut-deprived!
Eh, jk. I've been allergic to it my whole life so I never really developed a taste for it.

Thank you for sharing this recipe!!! As soon as I'm feeling like a normal human being again, I'll definitely hafta try it!

Guess I'd better head for the doctor. Though the last few months of extreme stress have caused the cravings for it. Does that put me on some level of female normalcy now?

Serene is my name, not my life! said...

Brenick: LOL! If I were to be honest I would have to say that my diet mainly consists of chocolate, salad, and chicken. I happy with simplicity. :D

Heidi: *sigh* What am I going to do with you? :)

I came up with an Oreo version that my husband requested for his birthday. I posted my version here:
Death by Oreos .

Thank you so much, this absolutely made his day! (and several days after, if we're being honest!)

And, of course, I gave you credit for the recipe. Thanks again!
