Because I like random.

There are some things in this world that are just inherently wrong.

- Like nurses who get their eye liner tattooed on, then mess up your pitocin IV while you're delivering a baby. (as you can see, I'm SO not bitter about that still)

- A tropical storm on your wedding day. (and you thought you had bad hair on your wedding day!)

- Trying to convince your toddler that just because there's snow on the bottom of his shoe, doesn't mean he should lick it off. (that's the real reason my kids don't get sick all that often in the winter. Good immune systems.)

- Discovering your sister is a complete redneck because she tried to get a baby gator out of our old pond back in Florida a couple years ago. With nothing more than a long stick. (As you can see, genius genes run a muck in our family. Since we don't always know what to do with it, we apply it to extracurricular activities. That's why I love them so much.)

- After responding to a question about what my children's ages are, having a complete stranger look at you like you are denser than an Idaho rock and ask, "Do you even know how that happens?" (It's the truth my friends. She really did ask.)

- And having it get down to a freezing 33 degrees last night and ruin your garden! Poor beans. It's the middle of freakin' June! Oh Idaho, what did they ever do to you! *humph!*

P.S. Since it's my wedding anniversary this weekend, I'm going to try and convince my husband to write a blog post on here as my present. Hey, its free so he'll do it, right!

Maybe.

You. Are. Kidding. Me. I am an avid, if unskilled gardener and I am weeping over the loss of your beans. So sorry. That is tragic. And really weird. Happy Anniversary!

I have tried to convince my husband that is the perfect gift too! Hahaha! If they only knew how easy it was to make us truly happy! Happy Anniversary!

It's my wedding anniversary this weekend too!

And I have gotten similar snide comments with regards to my kids' ages. My dad said that to me once, actually. When I announced my fourth pregnancy, that was the first thing out of his mouth. Like he's one to talk. They had four kids in five years themselves. (later I learned that his mom said the same thing to them!)

That's such a drag about your garden. And such a cool idea to have your husband post. I hope he does; I'd love to read it!

It's our sealing anniversary this weekend, too!! Sorry about your beans. Haven't planted anything with the family stuff going on. Love your wedding photos! I think it looks gorgeous!

Funny, I was thinking about anniversaries and suddenly remembered OURS IS NEXT WEEK! What the H? Totally forgot. But yeah, that freak storm you had on your wedding just proves that weird Junes run rampant over the past several years. Who thinks, "Hmmm. Let's go for a June wedding. But just in case it snows, we'd better plan the reception for inside." That's just wrong.

You know there's this thing called a freeze warning... :)

And as for remembering birth days... I told the pharmacist today that I was born in 1940. He kind of looked at me strangely.

Happy Anniversary. Even though the wind is flying in your pictures the happiness on your faces is evident. Isn't raining on your wedding day suppose to be good luck?

Happy Anniversary! The snow in AZ ruined our garden a few weeks ago. I know there is something I am supposed to learn from this, but I don't know what yet! I think I need a greenhouse!

Good luck with the husband guest posting...I've tried for years to get mine to do it. :)

Only once has a nurse put in my I.V. correctly. I got her name, I will be requesting her with my next child. One time, it took 8 tries and then they had to go get the anathesiologist (sp?) to come put it in. I was really upset with that. As you can see, I am still bitter about all of mine. On a brighter note, happy anniversary!

Happy Anniversary!!! I am new to your blog, I love it :)

Yuck. Late frost. We had the same problem in Provo. Rude.

A tropical storm on your wedding day? What the heck? Where did you get married? In New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina?

I hope you have a fabulous anniversary. : )

Serene I love your wedding dress. How beautiful. Oh and your "be modest" editing was seriously cracking me up. I've missed reading your blog while I was in planning birthday party land...or should I say crazy mom land.

Great pictures. Now I know why I have a good immune system... LOL

It rained on your wedding day? That is poor luck. So is the beans freezing in June. Our June last year was like that. I'm still bitter, even though it has been hot this year.

I'm a big fan of encouraging strong immune systems by ignoring what my kids eat.

My favorite thing is to tell people my kids ages, after a few birthdays it will be 4,6,8,10,12,14. People's jaws hit the floor!

Seriously? A gator with a stick?

That's pure bravery right there.

And I'm sorry for the rain on your wedding day - what a freaking bummer!
