Could my posts get any more random? Not likely.

I have been crafting like a MADWOMAN for a big craft fair this weekend.
Consequently, my house is in utter ruin. I'm talking every. room. in. the. house.

I think my eye is twitching.

My husband gets back from being out of town tonight.
I have four hours to make the house presentable. Believe me when I say, I seriously doubt that will be enough time.

Did I mention that my house is in total, utter, and complete ruin?

Now my other eye is going at it.

My husband's birthday is tomorrow.
I've got nothin' for him. Nadda.

I think my body is starting to spaz.

My kids have just been so, well... just so, so... eehhhh...

You know what?

Here. This is me.

That's all I'm sayin' folks.

That''s all I'm sayin.

I took Mimi shopping today for her birthday - today. No present to open, no surprise. I think you should just take your husband to the mall - they love shopping!

Add lots of sugar!

Eh, I agree with Kristina, add lots of sugar and include some whip cream, that always helps.

As for the house, my 2 year washes the walls pretty well...:)

Good luck Serene!

Is it bad to say I sleep really well when my husband is gone and I get the whole bed to myself?

oh no worries - when he gives you that "holy heck woman what do you DO all day" look - just send him over to talk to ManOfTheHouse... I won't even be in the same STATE for father's day this year... yikes!

tell him that this year you decided to let him pick out his gift :)

Wow! I so hear ya! I've been there and done that.

Hurry and shove everything in the closet, throw the vacuum in the middle of the living room, throw an onion in the oven (smells like something yummy is cooking) dress up (or down) and welcome him with a big smile.

Other than that.....good luck to ya!

I like Garden of Egan's "dress down" idea. Just undress and it's all good. He won't even notice there IS a house.

At least you've been productive in some way...I've been laying on the couch soaking in as much Food Network as possible...which is ironic because I am going through big food aversions right now.

Super Homemaker/Mommy! Maybe you should make something crafty for his birthday or just bake a yummy cake. Oh, and just shove everything under the closet. He'd never know, hehe...:=D

Take pleasure in surprising your husband with the unexpected! Men like that, right? (Even if it IS a messy house.)

You are, after all, a woman of mystery...

;)

Well, if that's the present, gift wrap it. Or add in a Paper ball to a box and gift wrap it. That's a surprise right?

Ok..I am slighty disturbed at what I am reading. Let me see if I get this straight. First, if a man/husband were to forget his g/f or wife's birthday, Mother's Day, anniversary, ect., all hell would break loose and the dude would be in the dog house for over a month AND you'd never, ever, EVER let him forget it. However, from what I am reading it is totally ok for women to forget their b/f or husband and just "dress down" or wrap one of the kids toys and give it to him as a present?? Did I miss something...???
I could swear I have had every "talk" or "discussion" about women from sisters, moms, co-workers, ex-g/fs ect. in the book! Apparently I missed something in all of that..??
Serene as my sister how is it that you could have let that lesson slip by?!?! Someone want to enlighten me?? =)

Oh...Abraham...you still haven't gotten it, yet...the differences between MEN and WOMEN...Remember, Men are from MARS and WOMEN are from VENUS...Does that clear it up for you? (smile)

Fix a fancy dinner (I've seen your recipes and creations...and tried some too...yummy!) and take him to a movie or something.

As for the house...shove everything under the bed or in closets until he goes back to work. That way it looks clean! I'm only kidding...good luck!

My daughter turns 8 on Monday, I have 0 presents for her so far. Luckily I convinced her she should wait until her party on Saturday to open gifts!
