Yup, these are real conversations.

Savannah is holding a brand new package of cheese sticks in her hand. Joseph is talking to her in the background.

Suddenly, she bursts into song. It went as follows:

"Oh I wa-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-anted a-uh cheese stick.
But my bro-oh-oh-oh-other wanted one tooooooo.
Oh Jo-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oseeeeeph,
I will get you o-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ne toooooo.
But you ne-ee-ee-ee-ee-ee-eed to-oo waaaiitt
For your tur-ur-ur-ur-ur-ur-ur-ur-uuuurrrnnn."

So what do you think? Does she have a future in song writing?

Honestly, I just can't understand where she gets these weird quirks! I mean, pish, it's not like I ever burst out into sing instead of actually speaking... err, really, *cough* I don't! (uncrossing fingers now)

A few minutes later I overheard her exclaim,

"Holy, holy, holy, holy, holy! *sigh* Mom! Can I have a peanut butter and turkey sandwich?!"

Sometime I really wish I knew how these kids were wired together. But I can't seem to find my factory warranty for them anywhere!

Conversation I had with the Walmart checker-outer guy yesterday.
*Note: I'm not trying to make fun of him, I just thought it was funny!

I place my new Pyrex casserole dishes on the counter.

Checker: Pyrex! Good choice. You know they're hard to break?

Me: Uh ya, I do. Well, I sure hope so, I just blew up my other one.

Checker: You blew it up! (laughing) Wow. Too bad you didn't get it on video!

Me: Ya well, it wasn't exactly PLANNED you know.... but I did take a picture.

Checker: You did? Oh, that's JUST like the time a car ran over my mom's boot and left tire marks there. So she took a picture of it. She still has it too!

Me: Really, um... wow! That's uh, that's great! (At this point I'm racking my brain for a part of the conversation I may have missed that made the two situations exactly the same.)

Checker: Well good luck with the Pyrex! Try not to blow it up!

And on that note, I will finish up my letter now.

Dear Walmart,
Thank you for existing. Without you, I wouldn't have nearly as many stories to blog about.

LOL!

First, your kids are precious. I love kid conversations. I especially love opera!

Second, that checker was so worth blogging about. I mean if you didn't have a blog, she would have officially wasted your time.

:) Love your blog!

I think checkers have only minutes to connect with shoppers so they don't think about what comes out of their mouths..At least they try, right??

Kids are so great, they are what inspired me to blog about my preschool Three days a week.

Keep writing and sharing your stories, they're great fun!!

I think you better sign your daughter up for American Idol right now. Don't even finish reading this post....hurry up....get going! She'll give it to Simon all righty!

About that WalMart employee, well, I just don't know what to tell you but I'm sure the Walmart executives will be so happy to read a letter from a pyro-loving customer....get it...pyro (fire)...oh, never mind. (what was the Walmart guys name, I think we could have a meaningful conversation)

Walmart is ALWAYS good for a blog post. I don't care what day of week, what time of day, or which Wal-mart - they are just dang funny!

Aren't kids the best? My granddaughter sings like that all the time. I think at least half of her entire communication is in song.

=)

I think at the very least your daughter can write jingles for commericals on tv

Does it say something about me that I completely followed the check-out guy's train of thought?

Uh oh...

I heart Wal Mart. I go there JUST for the checker out people.

We break out into random song here, too.

I totally get the checkers line of thought. It has to do with taking photos of bad things happening. Maybe I should be applying for a job as a Walmart checker!
