Their Logic is Astounding.

"K' boys! Movie's over! Time to turn the TV... JACOB!"

"Jacob what are you doing!? Your face is covered in marker!"

"Huh?"

"Yup. It is."

"Oh Jacob, where did you find that marker? Is it ours? I don't recognize it! Were you coloring on something else? You better not have been! Why is it in here? Why is the lid off?

"Umm, because it is. See?"

"Oh, I see alright. But why is it all over your face?"

"Because it is!"

Have you ever noticed how adults use about ten times more words and aren't nearly as logical as kids are?

I wish I had his gift for straightforward answers.

OH JOY!! My daughter cut her hair today...again! She did the same thing last year and it was just beginning to look normal again!

I hope Magic Eraser works for that!

Looks like he read my recent post; namely, "It is what it is."

Quite a precocious child you have there!

OK, that picture is worthy of saving for his dates. Hahahaha!

Wow, you really don't ever have any boredom!

You poor thing. I need to come and rescue you. I can do dishes and laundry.

I also can color on the walls Jacob.

I have a post on my blog from last summer I think about a purple marker and the 2 littles...they LOVE to find a stray marker.

You just have to stop asking such silly questions.

Ah...it is all coming "full circle"...I don't think you will remember the HALLWAY WALL near our kitchen in Lynndyl, Utah...but...it would have made Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci's frescos look "dull" and "unimaginative" compared to what YOU CHILDREN did to that wall...I would get ONE of you...broken from the habit...then, came the next one...We had to PAINT over it...to clean up all you "artists's" creations in our home...If I had been smart...maybe I could have made a fortune...and given the NEW WORLD something to REMEMBER...and Da Vinci's or Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni works would no longer have value...(smile)

It's all been said already.
But cute kid.
My daughter LOVES to give herself marker "tattoos" too.
SIGH.

You know, sometimes us grown ups do silly things that we have no explanation for either. :D

LOL - my oldest once colored himself, my walls, my couch, my bed AND the cat in black marker. I was just trying to take a quick shower....

That's awesome! :-) Kids are great!

The other day I was angry and told my son, "you don't get everything you want."

"But I want everything I want mom."

Crap. They are so smart. Enjoy your green son!

The logic of a child is rather stunning. No matter how well I hide the markers, they still manage to get found. I have pictures of my children last year looking like they ate an entire tribe of smurfs.

And all they are actually hearing is "blah, blah blah, blah." At least that is what my husband says.
