Keeping it Real

Bath time

It's actually less about getting the kids clean, and more about getting the bathroom dirty... apparently.

It would appear that the dirty laundry basket, which sits in the laundry room, which is strategically placed right next to the bathroom, is a completely unacceptable place to put dirty clothes.

Who knew?

Besides, when the soapy waves come crashing down to the floor from the naked monkeys trying to leap from one end of the tub to the other, there are plenty of  items on the floor to soak up the mess.

Never underestimate what kids can teach you!

And, being Monday and all, if you are in need an extra feel-good boost for the week, besides just reading about my dirty bathroom floor, check out Patty and Valerie's blogs. They both posted an inspiring song. It lifted me up for the day. Be sure to check it out!

Oh, I don't know how many times I've had this conversation with my kids... we keep our dirty clothes hamper in the hallway, JUST outside the bathroom. And yet. My floor looks just like this all the time. The other thing I don't understand? In the mornings, when they are getting dressed for school, they all bring their clothes downstairs, and get dressed in the living room, hiding behind various pieces of furniture. What's up with the communal dressing party?

I think my kids are just weird.

This is what my bathroom floor looks like at bathtime (and 8 hours after) too. Except I have the smallest bathroom in the world and if I had all the clothes in mine that you have in yours, you literally would not be able to see the floor.

Seriously! Just put it in the basket.
OR
Put the dirty dishes in the sink--AT LEAST.

Love you!

I am so NOT posting pictures of my bathrooom floor at this moment!! I have three little girls and they do not know the meaning of CLEAN when it comes to bathrooms (or kitchens either for that matter, but that is the subject of another blog!) I admire you so much for your bravery in posting the normal look of my bathroom :-) Thank for the positive reinforcement for my blog! I appreciate it and am glad that you loved the song too.

I think this post applies to me. I am horrible at putting the dirty clothes in our baskets! I guess I should cure that habit before my kids get bigger, huh?

Yes they are thoughtful to leave the clothes to soak up the water. My boys are not that thougtful and I have an inch of water on my bathroom floor everytime!
