Just Thinking (I know, dangerous)

Each baby is born with a unique personality that tends to shine through very early.

Savannah was a great sleeper who hated nursing and while she overall had a very calm and happy personality, she also has this sassy streak in her that came out every now and then, creating some of the best pouty faces I've ever seen.

Joseph was a very active and wiggly baby who know likes to dish it out but can't take it. He can also be quite serious at times and won't give you so much as a slight mouth twitch for a smile if it pleases him.

Jacob has always been a goofball. Even as a baby he loved to laugh out loud and its highly contagious. He has an overall fun-loving, happy go lucky personality.

Alayna has been my most mellow baby yet. Of course she throws tantrums and such but over-all she is very calm. She has very big, bright, easy to show up smile but doesn't laugh heartily very much.

Today marks the three month anniversary since Alayna's surgery. I have often been amazed at how quickly these little ones bounce back from something so traumatic and serious. Even just a couple days after getting her head cut wide open, she was giving us some of her beautiful smiles.

And now with her hair growing in, you can barely see the scar on her head.

She has started cruising the furniture and loves to hold your fingers and walk around. She even took her very first step the other day. I tried to capture it on camera but unfortunately, this was all I managed to get.

I feel so grateful for all my children. And no matter how many times people tell me I'm crazy or how many times I let myself believe them, I wouldn't give up single one of these monkeys.

Nope, not for anything.

Not even chocolate. And that's saying a lot.
