Does it say something about me that while enjoying these great favorite things, I got most excited about the picture with books? :-) Some good ones on there. Except "Wuthering Heights." You can go ahead and find better use that for it as a doorstop. Or a booster seat. Come to think of it, under someone's bum is probably THE best place for it. Ha ha.
Haha! I love looking at my book collection, it makes me happy. I've read it twice. I think its a sad story and have no desire to read it again. I'm what you would call a "happy endings" girl. For the first time in a long time I looked at my Goodreads and saw all the books people are reading. It made me sad I don't have more time to read, I miss it a lot.
Audiobooks. Great for multitaskers. Unless you zone out easily. Took me a year to get used to them. Now they're the majority of what I read.
Love the hiding places. As for your book discussion, I'm with you--a happy ending kind of girl. And I love curling up with a book. It's just not the same listening to one. But it is definitely easier when doing things like washing dishes, sweeping the floor, doing laundry, discovering new hiding places.... :) I was excited to see that you really enjoyed " The Guernsey..." book. I loved it too!
Ah, yes. Nothing beats curling up with a book. The Goose Girl series has been my recent acquisition for that. I think Savannah would like the first in the series--very princessy. (Except for the horse. I hated that part.) Almost ranks right up there with your stories.
I've heard those are good. I think next time we go to the library I'll check them out.Haha, my stories! I need to start writing them down again. =)
LOVE the hiding places...As for reading...and having "time" on my hands these past few weeks...I've read such a VARIETY of books...The Book of Mormon...to "The Lightning Thief" that both Hyrum and Angel "forced" me to read...and currently "Great Expectations" by Charles Dickens...(LOTS of "gardening magazines inbetween) Oh...and a book on "Latter-day Visions and Prophecies"....Been in an out of so many different minds...been quite an adventure...It is amazing how much reading I have been doing ... waiting for our home in Florida to sell...Maybe, it has been a BLESSING...(smile)
Oh, I loved "Great Expectations!" And "Lightning Thief" was all right. "Book of Mormon"--the best! That is quite the variety of books. Good luck with the house. My parents had that stress for some time, too. Not fun.
Thanks, Heidi...It isn't just the selling of our home...contracts that have been on and off, again...but, our records are still in Florida...We thought we were selling any day...so we held off...having them sent...never dreaming we would be going into our 2nd month...We won't buy till we sell...so...don't know which ward to have our records sent....Not only feeling kind of homeless, we are also, "Wardless"....(smile)Been a very interesting "adventure"...I might add...
I guess it's good and bad not having bought until you've sold. It must be awful to be homeless and wardless. My mom's stress came from paying for 2 houses for a few months. It was the first time in all my dad's moves that the company didn't buy the house from us after a certain period of time. I guess the bright side is even if you don't move your records, yet, there are still plenty of members who will accept you in the interim!
Save those things. You will really enoy them when you are fifty!
