I don't know how many of you have ever seen the movie "Annie", 1982 version. But I bought the movie for my kids since Savannah loves musicals so much.
Remember this song?
Yea... well, Luke and I were trying to get the kids to help us clean up the house. Things like, putting their toys and shoes away.
Savannah, being in a rather rebellious mood, put on her best pouty face and in a dramatic huff, marched off to go put a toy away.
Next thing I hear is Savannah, in a rather grouchy voice dramatically singing,"Its a hard knock life for me. It the hard knock life for me..." as she continued to grudgingly put the living room to rights.
Perhaps I should think of the potential drawbacks before buying our next musical.
3 super cool people speak:
Oi. That's too hysterical. I remember feeling that about my mom when I had to [gasp] clean my room. :)
LOL! Awesome. Too bad you didn't sing to her about it. =)
I love that she changed the personal pronoun to reflect herself! Ha ha ha. Did you retort by singing "Little Girls?" Or, better yet, "Tomorrow?"
