Flashback Friday

I don't know why I keep using these cheesy titles.

Anyway, as my mom was cleaning out her office in preparation for their big move, she came across some ancient artifacts. Written papers that held prolific signs of what was to come. Using them in addition to some of my own personal pictorial artifacts, I bring you a bit of my past that showed signs of my great future. (click on the pictures to view larger)

Allow me to introduce myself.

Funny, I still hate sharks, white fish, and ham.

It was evident that I held GREAT artistic talent. See the resemblance between my deep and accurate drawing of my crazy sister?

And the portrait of my mother is quite amazing. Don't you think?

I even showed signs of being a deep and poetic writer.

Wow. Do you have goose bumps too? Who knew such ancient works could foretell the future so accurately!

I'll be here Wednesday to sign any of my poems that you had framed. They will be worth millions someday.

My favorite part was "but there are other things in life".

I like "pink looks like a saw blade." Seriously? Were you picturing blood on the blade? hahaha, I love looking at old stuff I did as a kid that I thought was SO AWESOME.

You know, I'm still trying to figure out where that come from! LOL
I don't think I even thought about blood though.
Interesting.

I love the one about your Mom. Not only am I blinded by hearts (I would never have had the patience for that), but the first line is priceless and profound. I wish my Mom would give up some of things she has of us kids. These are great. Can't you just see where your kids get it from? :-)

Heidi, if you want, you can come over sometime and I'll show you a quick and easy way to draw hearts on all your letter. =)

Sara Lyn, (sigh) I know.

I want you to know...I SCANNED many of these precious artifacts...so I will have them forever...and then...sent the file to each child...as I do this...so that if anything ever happened to any records or pictures, etc. - somebody will always have a COPY to get for a replacement...I must admit...I have had many a WONDERFUL moment....going through all these things...LOTS OF CHUCKLES...as you have observed...(smile)
