Meet Sir. Swivel Hips

So, ya... um, I forgot to mention that Luke was out of town all week and he took my only source of internet with him. So I have been in the dark as to all your comments. The last two posts were written just before he left but I had no way of seeing or responding to everyone's comments. I promise I wasn't ignoring anyone, sorry about that. I'll write everyone back later today, promise.

I'm still trying to figure out if I should be worried or jealous. I've never been quite so graceful with my hips. All I've ever been able to accomplish with mine is create black, blue, and purple marks from banging them on door frames and wall corners. I suppose that's why I was always of the opinion that I had big hips, they always seemed to get in the way.

Of course, I do recall one occasion when I was 18 years old, I was walking down a hallway in front of a guy friend of mine, who was known for saying some random things. He suddenly said from behind me in a rather loud and shocked voice, "Wow! You've got great birthing hips!"

Just a small piece of advise men, that is NOT something you ever want to say to any girl under any condition. In fact, I don't think you should mention hips at all, EVER.

But then, when I talk to women, they always mention how they can tell their hips are bigger since having children. Well, I've never noticed that on myself personally. (sigh) Maybe its because I really do have birthing hips... whatever that really means.

I guess I'll just have to take swivel hip classes from Joseph and put those big suckers to good use!

I hit all parts of myself on door frames, walls, tables, chairs. I prefer to think that I have no coordination instead...because I don't.

And I completely agree about the hips advice.

So I'm guessing you don't like Shakira's song "Hips don't lie"?

I can't think of a better compliment than someone saying you have great birthing hips. hahaha.. makes you wonder what in the world was going through his brain.

I just saw the video (unable to while at work). And our family's PCC video (we loved watching it when we were kids) came to mind. I thought of the part in Tahiti, when she says, "If you don't watch our hips shaking, you're missing the whole show." Maybe Joseph should consider a career there...if he gets a little more tan. :-)

Ah...reminds me of the "good ol' days" when...the dance "THE TWIST" was popular...and yes, girls, THEN, I was able to do it "flawlessly"....NOW, if I tried something like that...I'd end up with a "hip replacement"....How is it that the YOUTH can have all the FUN...??? Older people use to try and tell me "getting old is not what it is cracked up to be"...well...from a "physical" point of view...I am beginning to see what they mean...No body ever warned me how QUICKLY one can get "out of shape"!!! I guess I should have continued "twisting away"....
