Surely Not MY Children!

Jacob has a unique gift. He maintains a constant food storage in his mouth at all times. His food intake has been cut in half since whenever he takes a bite of something he keeps it there and sucks on it for hours. And believe me, I'm NOT exaggerating.
A couple days before we moved out of our apartment, Jacob was sucking on chewed up apple bits while lounging on the living room floor. While lying on his side, he sneezed, twice, and spewed apple bits all over the floor.
And it was nasty. It really was.
But then he rolled onto his back and sneezed again! This time the apple bits flew into the air and landed right back into his face.
And it was funny. I laughed at loud. I really truly did.

Then I took a picture.

What a monkey.

Now that we are in our new house, I have discovered it must either be haunted or infested with little creatures. Because all my efforts to unpack and clean seem to be thwarted. I have evidence.

Now, I know this next photo looks very incriminating with the guilty faces, hangers in hand, and a big pile of shirts thrown in the corner. But it couldn't have been them, because my children would NEVER do such a things, especially multiple times!

Let's all pause for a brief moment of silence to remind ourselves why we have kids in the first place... not that I'm implying it was MY kids who made those messes...

There, I feel better already, don't you?

hmmm i think alayna is your favorite. You always seem to go back to her when you want to be happy again... :)

LOL. Its not that she's my "favorite" its that she is still a baby. She doesn't run around making messes, she is not yet capable of disobeying and she can't talk back. Right now, she's practically perfect! When she turns one, I'm sure I won't be referring to her quite as often. =) You'll see!

Ha ha--my sister said she loves kids (especially hers), but now she can't help looking at a little baby and envisioning all the work they will become once they pass cute/cuddly stage. I don't know what she means, 'cause I'm still in that stage! :-) I love your pictures. But maybe that's because I'm not the one who has to clean up after them!

It's that INBETWEEN stage that is the toughest...from 1 through 21....AFTER THAT....your children will all be PERFECT!!! (smile) Look at mine!!!!

Oh Serene....I find such comfort in your pictures! This is a repeated sight in the boys' room. Clothes are not safe from 'floor piles' when they are in the dresser drawers either. I am not sure what the amazement of it is with these little guys!!! Then, the 'Angel Muffin' makes it all better again!! Maria
