Furniture Makeover

This is my entertainment center. Its wonderful! Its magnificent! Its... its... oh wait, its the wrong picture. Sorry about that.

THIS is my entertainment center. Luke had made part of it back in high school and then when we were in need of something for our TV, which was given to us as a gift, he brought it back to our apartment.
After a really bad and botched painting job, I have carefully kept it hidden under some fabric. But I decided it was time to do SOMETHING with it. It was time for a makeover.

So I went out and bought some paint and trim. After a few days of begging Luke, I finally got him to cut my trim. He even put in on for me.
Ah, so sweet.
So, here it is, freshly painted an exotic... er, well, brown.

And here is the end result.

Do you think the flowers are too... boring? I'm more of a colorful, wild flower type girl. But I thought I'd give this a shot since I already had these flowers.

But someday, when I have millions of dollars laying around and I just don't know what to do with it all, I'll go and get something like that first picture.

I think it looks great. You didn't tell us you were going to have millions just sitting around - don't forget us "little people" when you do!

Well, its a closely guarded secret. And the actual time stamp for when the millions will magically appear is still unknown so, I try not to brag about it TOO much. =)

I like brown. Any fun plans for Jacob's birthday?

I think the first one looks busy and unattractive. I prefer minimalism.

I definitely like the brown, much better. :)

Like the flowers.

I do believe the Lord is PLEASE with your "creativity" and your willingness to live a "provident" life...MANY go into DEBT for something NOW...instead of waiting to be able to afford it...YOU ARE VERY WISE...which makes this little post an "Ensign" piece...MAKE DO with what we have...and find "humor" in it...if we need to...(smile)

You should watch TV more often. I've seen cobwebs, but never flowers growing out of a TV before. There must be some heavy dust back there!

I have something similiar on my wish list. We just got rid of our entertainment center (a hand-me-down from my cousins), moved our coffee table (D.I. Wymount special) under the TV, and put our bookshelves on either side. So I am totally with you on needing a change thing. Nice job!
