Cookie Monster

Some of you strangely faithful readers will remember my "Confessions of a Chocoholic" post, (click on it to read it) in which I came forth and admitted to some of my most evil chocolate deeds. Of course, it would be quite easy for me to extend that list from 10 to 20.
But I promise not to admit that I have eaten chocolate milk mix and hot chocolate mix dry with a spoon before... not today anyway.
But yesterday, I was feeling overly generous and decided to make my family cookies instead of simply eating the chocolate chips myself.
I know, I know. I'm so selfless and sacrificing. The things I give up for my family. Wow.
After the first batch came out of the oven as a disaster, (who knew using medium eggs instead of large could make such a difference!) I decided to give those to the kids.
Again, I know that my generosity is astounding.
A few minutes after giving Joseph his, I went over to check on him, shocked that there was cookie still sitting in front of him.

Now look closely.

Notice anything strange about the cookie?

In the place where the chocolate chips should have been, there was nothing left but little craters. Dug out with his finger, Joseph showed no interest in his cookie, only in salvaging the chocolate.
Luke believes Joseph is turning into me! But personally, I don't think that's such a bad thing!

I was an awesome kid, very stylish!

And as a teenager well, isn't it obvious?

I was cool.
I was hip.
I was popular.

Obviously.

Are you a cow in that picture? 'Cause I'm sure your dad loved that! Well, you two pick out the chocolate and I'll eat the rest of the cookie.

Haha.. seriously, there must be something in your genes causing you to like chocolate so much - because that is just NOT normal for a kid to not enjoy the whole cookie!!

ha! So cute... I'm sure you were a totally hip and cool teenager, cow outfit or not. (I just hope you didn't wear that to a dance or anything!) :)

LOL, I was hardly any of those things.
Actually, it was for a mutual activity where I did indeed do a little dance.
Oh the things we do as teenagers! Let's try not to remember. =)

And Brittany, you're right. Its not normal! Perhaps I shouldn't have eaten so much chocolate while I was pregnant with him.....

Actually, I am beginning to think it is STRANGE...to actually BAKE the cookie dough....I so much more prefer the DOUGH to the actual cookie...I could even SKIP the CHOCOLATE just so I can eat the dough...Hmmm...I guess you got my CHOCOLATE CHIP GENES....So, next time we are together...I will eat the DOUGH...and YOU can eat the chocolate chips...We will come away VERY HAPPY!!!! However, we must put some dough to the side and BAKE some of the dough for those who have NOT CAUGHT ON and still a bit OLD FASHION in this concept of BAKING the ACTUAL COOKIE DOUGH...

My computer monitor has big scratches in it from trying to get the cookie.

They sure do look good - nice and flat (too much sugar?), gooey, yummy!

How to win the heart of your dad: dress up like a cow! (I collect stuffed cows, also).
