Sleep... Or Maybe Not

It's happened once, its happened twice. In fact, its happened several times and I'm sure it will happen again.
Can I just say there's nothing quite like an elbow in the face to make you feel loved... er... something. At the very least it wakes you up.
I know, so rude.
Anyway, my super heavy sleeper husband unknowingly puts my whole facial structure at risk. While sleeping on his back, he tends to put his hands under his head and sleep as if he were basking in the sunshine on a beach somewhere. So I have caught my fair share of elbows.
But here's what worries me, I think its starting to spread!

Do you think its genetic?

Or maybe just an epidemic!

Either way, I'm sure one of these elbows has my name written all over it.

I'm a tummy sleeper myself. But I tend to sleep with my left leg hitched up and Luke finds it necessary to roll onto it and it has been squished, once or twice... or many, many times.
I know, totally rude. Doesn't he know my knee needs its personal space? Gosh, its like he thinks we share the bed or something... oh wait.
Anyone else have sleeping quirks? Or maybe our family is just special.
Ya, that must be it.

I think it's a Heiner gene, cuz we have the same issues here! :O)

Thanks for adding me to your list of businesses! Anything will help to get the word out. It's been a lot of working setting it all up, so I hope I at least break even!

I pull my knee up, and it drives Kevin crazy. I also put my arms under my head when I sleep on my stomach, and so my elbow bother him, too.

My HAIR use to get tangled up with your Dad...so "cutting" my hair "shorter" should have solved the issue....NOT...

Isn't there a class on how TWO people can share ONE bed? Perhaps, we could get extra "combat" pay...for each time...an elbow to the face...or some crushing move awakes you from a DEEP SLUMBER...

On the other hand, there is the SNORING issue....and that is when my little finger gets to POKE HIM BACK...while he is "sleeping"...(smile)Occasionally, I do get to "shove"...him over when a simple finger doesn't work...But, there really isn't much SATISFACTION in this...because, their SLEEP is NOT DISTURBED...How is that...? I am AWAKED either way!!!!

I had a good laugh at this post, especially the pictures. I'm currently going through a huge change in sleeping habits, which is odd since I used to sleep the same way for, well, all of my life. The only quirk I've seen not change is that if I'm ever on my stomach, one arm has to be up while the other down.

Matt doesn't sleep like he's basking in the sun, he sleeps with his head propped up on his hand. Weird Heiner thing, also, though I think. They get it from their dad.

The danger for me is when we're awake. Matt steps on my feet. And it HURTS. And we've been married eight years. My feet have always been in the same place - stretched out six inches in front of my feet - but he still steps on them.

This is hysterical!!!!!!!!!!!! Our problem is HEAT. Dale generates it and I steal it -- which he hates because I only INCREASE the heat which then puts him on "ROAST"....

I think I've laughed at everyone's comments!

Mom: LOL, combat pay? What a great idea! And I've had to shove Luke once or twice as well.

Sarah: Really?! Matt sleeps with his head propped up one hand? Oh that is too funny!! I've seen Luke do that too! It really is a Heiner quirk!
And I feel ya on the toe thing. I've lost more toe nails than I care to count.

Mona: Yes, that tends to drive my husband nuts! I feel cold but to my husband, I feel hot! ESPECIALLY when I'm pregnant!
