Vanity, Pure and Simple

With complete and utter confidence I pulled my "big jeans" out having decided it was time to put the maternity ones to rest. I knew they would probably be tight but, I was so sure that after a bit of tugging, I would be able to button them up.
I ruined my whole day. My whole week!
There magically seems to be about a good inch of material missing because for the life of me, I could not get them to button.
Devastating, absolutely devastating. Maybe I shouldn't have eaten all that chocolate my dad brought me...
Maybe I will go into hiding for a few more weeks.
And if any of you think that reminding me that I had a baby two weeks ago will make me feel better, let me just tell you, it won't.

Come, let us bask in cute picture-ness so I don't have to think about how big my hips are.

Joseph didn't want to get his eyes cold.

And yes, I am vain, and I'm not afraid to admit it.

FOR REAL THOUGH.. you had a baby TWO weeks ago.......... and it was your FOURTH... FOR REAL...

You've always looked fabulous.. you say none of this will help, but I say it can't hurt to slap a little consciousness into you.

After Jacob I never lost that 5-7 lbs extra and now it's still lingering with me. You looked so good in those modeling pictures and those were after kids right? You obviously know how to get it back, but really we just have to be patient b/c the belly can only snap back so fast. Just have faith in your strength and ability to get back there soon enough! You'll do it!

LOL, Brittany, you crack me up.

Christina, I just forget how impatient I become!
And yes, those pictures were after I had Jacob. I was looking at my weight loss tracker that I used after I had Jacob. It took me about six months to get back into shape.
Patience, patience...

I totally understand how you feel! My 'fat' pants didn't fit after I had Bekah and she was only a few days old. I was so depressed! I was tired of wearing maternity clothes and pajama pants. Now if I could just get rid of those extra pounds I've kept from having children...........

Ha! My fat pants STILL don't fit 3 months later. It's driving me CRAZY. But my fat pants are a size 30 waist, my regular pants are a size 4, and I got up to 170 lbs with this kiddo. I need in-between clothes.
