Keeping it Real

And yet, somehow, they think they've got it so hard.

Disclaimer: Just so I maintain some sense of dignity, I have to say that these pictures were NOT all taken at the same time. Luke thinks I shouldn't "air my dirty laundry" like this. So I would like to state that the laundry in the picture is clean.

Now, before I go stick my head in the toilet and flush, please tell me my house isn't the only house in existence that gets this way!!

Hey, I only have one kid and it gets like that almost everyday!

My living room is almost an exact replica of that right now, and my bed is once again piled in *clean* laundry. 15 batches I did yesterday and this morning!!! Yikes... Plus, I did dishes for over an hour yesterday trying to catch up. I hope that makes you feel better... :O) Doesn't even phase the kids, they just run on top of it all and pile it deeper!

uhhhh, my house never gets like that. So I don't know how you and Luke are so much dirtier than Kent and me.

.. oh you have kids? Well I guess that was your choice. Haha :)

I don't even have kids and my house looks like that sometimes. Especially if I am working and making cakes. In reply to what you put onmy blog. I just started a few years ago decorating the cakes. If you ever move back I would love to teach you. If you don't though and if there is a JoAnn's or Michael's craft store they teach them there. Also if you don't have one of those I think you can go to Wilton.com and they will show you where classes are, but I would love to teach as well. :)

Ha ha ha! That's hysterical, and how do you know how to describe my life (and pretty much every mother's life) so well? LOL

I don't care what anyone says. When you've got a newborn and your exhausted, the smallest messes seem impossible to tackle. So, when you have a large mess like yours, it's easy to think to yourself "why even bother?" With 3 kids at home, it's bound to happen. Nice art work by the way.

Oh, Serene!! Thank you ~ thank you. I'm so there!!! Increasing the child count from 2 to 3 has eaten my lunch! Oh, did I forget about the teaching, moving, feeding cattle, and recovering from the Masters degree?? All I can say, that is what higher education...Mom of 3 earns Masters degree...looks like too!
