Go Figure

It's one of those types of situations like: people never come over unless your house is at its very worst.

Being a stay at home mom, going out anywhere is cause to look nice. So, generally, no matter where I'm going, I always try to make an effort to look nice. But today, eh, I just wasn't in the mood. So, I threw on my sweats, put my hair up in a pony tail, had the barest of make-up on (foundation and mascara) then threw the kids in the car and went to play group.

After it was all over, I thought, hmm, I want to go check out that emergency preparedness store at the end of the street. I'll just stop by and get a quick look at what they carry.

Turns out while I was there, so was channel 8 local news. Long story short, the lady there asked if she could take some footage of me and the kids looking around then to ask me a few questions.

Go figure.

So, not only am I grubby looking and I was distracted by my kids pulling at my legs and banging on stuff in the background, I sound like a complete idiot.

The best part though was how they were able to manipulate just a small part of my answer to, "Are you here today because of the failing economy?" To which I replied, "No, not necessarily." Gotta love the media.
Oh well, enjoy! Just click here. The video is on the right.

I watched the video and you look GREAT Sarah! You didn't look 'grubby' at all. And awesome job on the answers! I would have sounded so dumb if they asked me to comment. I need to start stocking up myself:-)

Not the first time a Smith has been on TV, but it will probably not be the last.

Ironic that you were there for preparedness. :-) Anyway, didn't you just tell me "comfort before cuteness?" You looked both!

You honestly have the best stories. I think you looked wonderful. I've always been impressed by how well you look when you go out. Also, I couldn't hear any banging in the background.

If you listen real close to my second comment when I look over, you can hear joseph banging on a pot, which is why I turned my head. =)
